Pursuing Redemption
Kingdom Entrepreneurship and Following Jesus with Coach Joshua Eze
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What happens when you stop building your life around what you can accomplish and start building it around who God says you are?
In this powerful episode of Pursuing Redemption, I sit down with Coach Joshua Eze to talk about faith, identity, purpose, and what it looks like to let Jesus transform every area of your life, including your career and dreams.
Joshua shares his journey of coming to know Jesus and how his faith gradually became woven into his professional journey and coaching business. He opens up about some of his biggest “aha” moments with God and the profound difference between living from orphanhood versus sonship and how our identity can shape the way we approach our relationships, calling, work, and future.
Together, we talk about the roadblocks that keep us from allowing God to lead, the unnecessary limitations and bondages we place on ourselves, and what it means to live with a breaker mindset — breaking through the things that have held us back and learning to walk in the freedom God has given us.
Joshua also offers encouragement for anyone who feels like they have been running the race for a long time, yet the dream or promise still seems out of reach. What do you do when you've been faithful, but you haven't seen the breakthrough? How do you keep dreaming when the promise hasn't come to pass?
This conversation is a reminder that redemption isn't simply about where you've been, it's about allowing Jesus to redefine your identity, restore your hope, and lead you into the life He has called you to live.

SPEAKER_00Welcome home, where healing and restoration are celebrated in stories from those who have walked through fire and come out the other side. Welcome to the Pursuing Redemption Podcast with Heather Shore.
SPEAKER_05Here I am.
SPEAKER_02Hi, Coach Joshua. We're so excited to have you on the Pursuing Redemption Podcast today. Welcome to the show.
SPEAKER_06It's an honor to be here, Heather. Thank you so much for having me. I look forward to seeing what the Holy Spirit speaks amongst us. And so thank you once again for the invite.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. Well, I'd love to jump right in and hear a little bit of how you came to know Jesus and this fun trajectory has had you on with your business and coaching career.
SPEAKER_06Sounds good. I'm ready to get into it.
SPEAKER_02There you go. Let's go. Tell us your story.
SPEAKER_06I've been in the faith, if you will. I've been in church. I've been around God since I was six years old. So I was introduced to the Lord since a young boy, um, to the point where my pastor would let me read at this at six years old. I had an amazing story. My mom told me years after this point that when I was four years old, um my mom smoked, and my mom was, you know, just being a single mom. And she said, I looked at her from across the room, and she said, My eyes were so piercing that that Sunday she went to church and got saved.
SPEAKER_03Whoa.
SPEAKER_06Stopped smoking, gave her life to Christ, and ever since then, well, since four, we've been going to church. But me coming to know Jesus, I mean, coming to know Jesus is a lifelong journey because we can live a thousand years and not even scratch the surface of who he is. But as far as for me, it didn't really hit until I was 19.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_06Um, I was in my dorm room at Oral Roberts University, and and the presence of the Lord hit me so strong that I was weeping. I'm talking about this six foot two, then 170-something pound man crying on the floor. And and as I was crying, I looked outside of my dorm room window and and I saw students going to class or going to the cafeteria. And I felt the Holy Spirit say, if you don't fulfill your purpose, what will happen to them? And it was from that moment I told the Lord, I said, Whatever you want me to do, I'll do it. And that was the moment that me and Jesus locked uh uh hands in partnership and said, you know, from this day forward, I'm gonna serve you. And so I think that was my coming to Jesus um moment, if you will. I guess if you're talking about finding my calling and purpose in life, but I've been in church since I was four, six years old. Um, but that's the moment where me and Jesus, it was who he was my savior um and my lord, if you will. I think a lot of people, when they come to Christ, um they come to him as their savior, but years later they don't really go to him as their Lord. And 19, I came to him as my Lord.
SPEAKER_02That's amazing. And you've been on it ever since. So tell us a little bit about your career journey then. So you go to RU, you have this amazing experience at 19, and then he launches you into this career, and you're out there influencing people through coaching and business development and everything. And it's as an entrepreneur, as someone who's in business development, it's so encouraging, right? So tell us a little bit about that journey.
SPEAKER_06As far as uh coaching and business, yes, yeah. Yes, yes. Um, well, I was always an entrepreneur. Um, I was before there was Instacart, I was doing Instacart. I will walk my neighborhood and say, hey, to elderly people, I'll do your grocery shopping for you. So I will I created my own business cars, and so I've always had this entrepreneurial um um anointing, if you will, or just entrepreneurial gift, right? And and it didn't really uh materialize for the kingdom of God until I was 19. I had a uh t-shirt business called Eternity, and uh we all familiar with WWJD, but my tagline was WWYB. It was where will you be? And so I when I got saved, when the Lord got me, I was on that hellfire brimstone. I was I was just it's heaven or hell, sir. Ma'am, is I was respectful, ma'am. It's it's heaven or hell where you want to, where you're gonna be, right? Um, and so eternity led into um this concert I did at the at my college called Amped. But as far as coaching and and uh advising people, it didn't start until about maybe when I was 25, 26. Um, I was on YouTube since I was 21, and this lady commented up under my video and said, You should be a life coach. I had no clue what a life coach was. Um, I was just gung-ho for ministry. But of course, I didn't graduate college, so I didn't have any credentials, if you will. I didn't have no degree, and so I was just in limbo, if you will. Um, and then I just saw that person's comment and I just it um did some research and then I ran into uh Janice um who with the Christian Coach Institute, and she was from Charlotte. And I was like, wow, all these dots are connecting. So um I met up with her and her husband, and and they gave me a scholarship to get my coaching license, and and I didn't know what I was doing. And so, but the last 15 years, as far as entrepreneurs, every time people were around me, Heather, it was I just saw that they produced. Um, I wrote my first book when I was 20, and about time I really got into coaching. I had two books written. But because I was around people, they became authors, they became, they started launching their businesses. I didn't realize I had a gift of lifting limiting beliefs and getting people into purpose. And so my journey began maybe 15 or 16 years ago, where I just began to just go on YouTube and whoever came, I served. And so um helping entrepreneurs is is a joy because I really believe that entrepreneurs um are a special gift. Like we're builders, we're we're not afraid to go out there. We're we are probably the biggest threat to the kingdom of darkness um because we solve problems. And we solve problems and we profit. And when you profit, you create generational wealth. And so I don't believe that's the system Satan wants rampant. And so I see that a lot of entrepreneurs are heavily attacked, um, either to one or two extremes. They're they're eager to make a lot of money and mammon because they becomes their god, or they never really grasp all of what God wants to do through them, and not just for them, but for their children's children. And so that's been my mission um is to create wholepreneurs, entrepreneurs who are whole enough to hold the success that God wants to entrust to them and be prepared to hold the other success that God wants to entrust to them. And so that's been my mission is to get people um on purpose, and uh like John the Baptist says, to present to God a people prepared, and that's my heart's mission.
SPEAKER_02I love that to present a people prepared because he's coming back, he's coming back, and we have to occupy.
SPEAKER_06That's the twofold of what I do. It's like I want to present to the Lord people prepared, and I want people to occupy. And I think that's the difference in Christendom, if you will, is that there's a lot of people who have this rapture obsession, like they're ready to leave here, they're Marinessa, get me out of here. But when you have that mentality, you're going directly against what Jesus told us to, and that's to occupy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and it's an escapism mentality, you know. Yes, yeah, and that's that's not what it says in the Bible. I'm still like, when I don't know where that came from, but anyway, it's a whole different topic.
SPEAKER_06Whole different topic, yes, yes, yes.
SPEAKER_02But I would love to know. I mean, speaking of that, like talking about having a people prepared. Um talk to us a little bit about like orphanhood and sonship. Yes, you know, um, that's something that as entrepreneurs or whichever way you're going in life, you need to build from identity. And so many people don't build from that. So, how does that affect your really your life trajectory? Of like if you don't know who you are, right? Yes, yeah, you're not gonna live it out.
SPEAKER_06It affects everything. Identity affects everything because whatever determines your identity determines how you identify. How can you identify from a Christ you don't identify with? How can you identify through discernment the right client, the right opportunity, the right city, the right person, the right people? And a lot of entrepreneurs are identifying from the world's system of identification. So people, as entrepreneurs, they they chase opportunities instead of waiting for assignments, and that becomes a big issue for entrepreneurs because the world runs on speed, the world runs on get, get, get, get, get versus given, given, given, given. Like what has God given you to do? Not for you to just go out there and get, and that's why a lot of entrepreneurs they'll think that oh, I made a six-figure month or I made all this money. Yes, the gifts of God are given without repentance. Yes, you have the business acumen. Yes, you can go as get as much as you want, but how's your wife? How are your children? How's your health? So a lot of entrepreneurs, their identity is off. And orphanhood, and we're gonna get to the flip side of it. The orphanhood mentality is I don't know who I am. And many entrepreneurs are working for acceptance, they're working for validation, but not from it. Yeah, see, when you're working from acceptance and you're working from validation that only Jesus can give, then you can be patient, you can be poised, yeah, you can take the necessary time to discern. It reminds me of Jesus. Jesus was lifted fresh out of the water. John just baptized him. And in this moment of scripture, we see the triune God. We we saw the Son coming out of the water, then we saw the Holy Spirit descending down like a dove, and then we hear these precious words that shapes everything that I do now. He said, This is my son in whom I'm well pleased. Now, if we're being theologians here, we know that Jesus did not cast not one demon out yet. He ain't preached not one sermon yet, he ain't even raised Lazarus yet, he hasn't done not one miracle on record to this point. But the heavenly father said, This is my son in whom I'm well pleased. So God is pleased before we produced.
SPEAKER_01Amen.
SPEAKER_06Because of what Jesus did, we were adopted into the family. We were adopted as sons and daughters of God. So now we no longer have to produce for his attention. We don't have to produce to prove to anyone anymore. And so if you are an entrepreneur right now and you know you are a striver, you're striving because you had that father wound, or maybe you were overlooked. I was overlooked, and that created a chip on my shoulder. Sure. No matter how hungry I was, Heather, I would not eat those chips off my shoulder. I would keep those chips on my shoulder because I just had to prove to people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06But then I realized all we're supposed to do is to serve an audience of one, and the other audience is blessed because we're serving God. And so, entrepreneurs, man, if if if you're striving, sonship is such a gift. Um, we are children of God. Back in Roman times, when a child was adopted, that parent was held by law to treat that child as if that child was their blood child. It was serious. That's why Paul wrote about adoption. Because the people in that day understood that when you adopted a child, that is if that's your child, and they have rights to inheritance.
SPEAKER_01Amen.
SPEAKER_06And so I think a lot of entrepreneurs theologically are off when it comes to sonship because when you know who you are and whose you are, you will go far. Now, the one thing I want to paint very clearly is this no ship will sail until you know how to sell sonship. You won't be able to sell long with entrepreneurship, you won't be able to sell long through partnerships, you won't be able to sell long with relationships. No ship you sail can teach you better than sonship. So a lot of people are trying to steer entrepreneurship, but they never steered ships of sonship. Who you are as a daughter, who you are as a son affects every role you hold. You're not gonna be an effective parent, you're not gonna be an effective spouse, you're not gonna be an effective entrepreneur until you know who you are as a child. Even Jesus says, Come to me like a little chill, like a like a child.
SPEAKER_02Like child, yeah.
SPEAKER_06And if you don't know how to go to him as a child, you ain't gonna be able to survive the wild. You're just not.
SPEAKER_02I love that it rhymes.
SPEAKER_06Yes, yes. Hey, the Holy Spirit is my ghostwriter, man. I uh he uses rhyme through me, and I I he gets all the credit.
SPEAKER_02That's right. So cool. Um, I mean, that it those are all very valid points that people need to hear and understand and really take to heart. Yes. And I think that speaks a lot to the next question of like what are some of the biggest roadblocks that you see people deal with, right? So they so many times, and myself included. So I'm preaching to the choir when I ask this question. It's like, yes, we don't really allow God in Matthew 6.33 to lead our lives, right? So, like when we seek him and his righteousness, then all things are added unto us, all things are taken care of. Yes, but so many of us don't. So, how do you coach someone through something like that? Of like, hey, this verse really means what it means in order to take it to heart, you know?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, what what I with with scriptures like that it's difficult because the heart has so many layers. Many people don't realize how many layers of idolatry they have, they don't know how many layers of wounds they have. Yeah, and so when you say seek first theologically and aspirationally, that sounds amazing. But when it comes to practice, we are programmed to seek self first, we're programmed to seek others first, we're we're we're programmed, and and the delicacy of of coaching and advisory is that's why I typically walk with people for 12 months because a lot of people don't realize just how many layers there are. And you have to reprogram yourself to seek, but you have to change the motive. The first step that I walk people through is realizing who are you seeking? Is who are you seeking? It's first the question is what are you seeking? Yeah, who are you seeking? When do you seek? Where do you seek, and how do you seek? I do I walk through those five things. Okay, but the first thing I tell them is let's be honest, what are you seeking? Well, I don't know, Josh. I'm I'm seeking, and some people try to put the Christian thing out there where I'm seeking the Lord's help. What is it? Are you seeking love? Are you seeking validation? What are you really seeking? When people came to Jesus, you could tell who was really seeking him for who he was. Some people will go to Jesus and say teacher, some people will come to him and say, uh rabbi. But the ones that came to him and said Lord, it's a different seek. And so once they get past the what they're seeking, now we deal with the tears, the wrestlings, the idolatry, the wounds. Because how can I get you to seek the Lord if you're still seeking your earthly father's attention? So now we have to be honest about what you're seeking. So now we can then show you who you should seek.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And why should you seek him? The who and the why is very important because who you're seeking, a lot of people are like a lot of entrepreneurs are like the third person in the talent story. There was three talents, three individuals who were given talents. One were given was given five, one was given two, and then there was one that was given one. And the Bible says that the first two immediately went into the marketplace and exchange. That's powerful. But the third one sat back and said, you know what, I'ma hide my talent. Now, a talent is equivalent in today's money. One talent is equivalent to $400,000. So you can use it as you can use it as a double on, it depends on the inflation. It probably was more than that back in the day. But a talent wasn't like he gave them five dollars to go to the corner store and get them some snacks. It wasn't getting a little dabby snack. This was an investment, this was an entrusting. And the one that was given the one went and buried the talent. Now, why did he bury it when the master came back? Judged the other two, blessed them, all that good stuff. Well done. The third person said, The reason why I buried it is because I saw you as a hard man. How you see God determines how you seek him. So when you seek him as someone who is like a taskmaster, don't get me wrong, God is about business, but he's also about building relationships. So just because you only see one angle of God, maybe you grew up around men, or maybe your father was, if you don't get if you don't get straight A's, then then you're nothing, or if you don't go to college and do this, then you're not accepted. And and and now you view God the way you view your earthly father. So then you're gonna bury your talent. And so how you see God determines how how you seek him, I mean when you seek him, where you seek him, how often you seek him. Because if you see him as a loving father, you're gonna seek him all the time. I love seeking him. I seek him all the time because I'm like, man, he is a father, he is not someone that doesn't want to be bothered, he is someone that welcomes me every time. So that's how I walk entrepreneurs through, and it's delicate because you have you'd be surprised at people I've coached who got all this money, but they're striving. And so um seeking first the kingdom of God, you have to be honest about kingdoms, and and a lot of entrepreneurs are building their own kingdom that they don't realize everybody's work will be tried by fire. And so I know I said a lot there, but but it's enough to set the foundation for people to begin to process and really begin to say, okay, why am I not seeking him? What am I seeking him? Because if once you get the who and the why, you will seek him often, you'll seek him whenever, you'll seek him wherever, you'll seek him however.
SPEAKER_02That is so good.
SPEAKER_06He gets the glory.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yes. I yeah, I'm gonna leave that one right there because that's so good. So, one of the things that I I started following you, I think like a year and a half ago, somewhere around there, maybe two years ago, and everything. And one of my favorite Instagram posts that you put out was on breaking yokes, right? And bondages off your life. And there's there's a lot there. When we say all that. And a lot of times we put very unnecessary limitations on ourselves. So, how do you coach and guide people say to live from that breaker anointing? I realize that not everybody has that. And I realize, too, like not everybody understands that there really is some bloodline stuff going on from a warfare perspective in their lives a lot of times. And but I feel like everybody can take those practices though and really put them into place. Even if you don't have a breaker anointing, even if that's not your call in life.
SPEAKER_05For sure.
SPEAKER_02And I'm wondering how do you how do you coach people from that? Because I feel like there's so much of that going on right now that's limiting people from truly walking out what God has for them.
SPEAKER_06So powerful. And I just wow, I just did a video yesterday, or was it two days ago? On I did a post um along the lines of um anointing doesn't just break the yokes, it prevents yokes. Oh let's let's let's go back.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_06When you talk about the anointing, it's a the supernatural empowerment of the Holy Ghost to fulfill a specific function. People don't realize that there is an anointing for just about everything. And what I mean by anointing, I mean the empowering gift that God has empowered, a gift that someone has that a person flows in that anointing. Now, people, when they think about the anointing, they only think about pastors, they only think about prophets, apostles, all these people. Sure.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06But they forget about that you can be an anointed mom. You can be an anointed dad. Anytime you flow in the original design of a thing, you are now in alignment with God. You are now alignment with that thing's design. Now you open the pathway for the empowerment of the Holy Ghost to begin to operate you at a level where the anointing can either break a yoke or prevent a yoke. Now, there are certain people who are gifted for global anointing, for global breakage, for breaking it, for breaking bondages from mass levels. That's God's assignment for them. For example, some people have a local anointing, some people have a regional anointing, some people have a statewide anointing, some people have um some entrepreneurs, they have a national anointing, some people have a global anointing, some people have a uh a multi-dimensional like they it's it's heaven, hell, demons know you, is it's that type of anointing, right? Yeah, and it's important for every entrepreneur to know that because if you're trying to go global when God wants you to be local, then you're gonna miss out on the flow of the Holy Ghost walking through you to break the bondages off of a city, off of a region, yeah, right? Whether that's through entrepreneurship, whether that's through um um uh giving back, whether that's building community. Some people they just build, they do basketball courts, they do gyms, they build stuff. That's a local anointing. Yeah, God didn't call you to make basketball courts or gyms all over the nation. He wanted you to be in that neighborhood and that community. So the reason why entrepreneurs don't walk in that breaker anointing, and maybe not the breaker anointing capital B, but the breaker anointings that everyone has is because they got blockage.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_06If you have blockage, that means there's something hindering the flow. So, for example, you can have a blockage spiritually, you can have a blockage mentally, you can have a blockage emotionally, and you can have a blockage physically and relationally. That's what I teach normally. Sure. A blockage spiritually is you have poor theology. Like you don't understand how you don't understand how the anointing works, you understand how what it is, you don't have a theological, sound, scripturally sound understanding of who you are, whose you are, what you have, and how to use it. A mental blockage is you're just you got limiting beliefs. No, God cannot possibly use me to go global. God could no, no way. Little oh, I had that, I had that issue. No, there's no way I'm a stutterer, Lord. When he told me to go to YouTube, I was like, I'm not going to YouTube. I'm sorry. I stutter, um, I trip over my words, my my brain goes faster than my words, so I'm I'm already two miles ahead in my mind before the word comes out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06See, so so I had that limiting belief. Who is gonna want to hear from me? Right? And so a lot of entrepreneurs they cannot break the yokes off of people because they have a yoke on themselves. They have a spiritual yoke, a mental yoke, an emotional yoke, a physical yoke. And when you understand spiritual warfare, that's why it's very important. I don't believe in immersing yourself in demonology, but you should have enough inf you should have enough understanding to where you're not ignorant of Satan's devices, especially towards you. Like, like I'm not trying to, I'm not trying to study 50 demons over here and try to study what these demons do in these different what are these demons assigned to me? Let me not be ignorant to them. And so, to answer your question, I think there's like the onion, there's so many layers to it. But what hinders entrepreneurs from being yoke breakers and yoke preventers is because they're not aware of their yokes. What are you yoked to? The Bible says don't be unequally yoked, right? Because when you're unequally yoked to a past experience, you're unequally yoked to your childhood, unequally yoked to who said what when you were 17, when you're unequally yoked to people and organizations. The Bible talks about how, or the picture of a yoke is when you're yoked with someone, if they're not equal weight to you, if they're not equal strength as you, people assume that when you're unequally yoked, it it affects the weaker calf more than it affects the stronger calf. No, it actually suffocates the stronger calf. Because not only are you carrying your weight, you're carrying the dead weight of the person or thing that you're connected to, and you're pulling the weight of the carriage. So now it snaps your neck. That's why I tell people whoever loves the least in a relationship leaves the relationship. Because now you're pumping all this energy, pumping all this into this thing, and and and and now it snaps your neck. And so when you look at yokes, I'm yoked to a past mistake. Well, the gospel clears that the blood clears that. Well, the Holy Spirit is omniscient, he'll tell you where it came from, he'll show you where you need to repent, to confess your sin, repent, release, accept your adoption, and walk in freedom. So I think the issue is a lot of entrepreneurs have the heart for God, but they don't have the theology. They don't have the understanding or the understanding of how to practice these principles, how to be skilled in warfare, how to be proactive in warfare, how to do spiritual warfare prayers, to break up generational curses. Like, like that's what we are now probably empowered and emboldened to do now is to not just coach, not just build, but actually teach people. Like, like if we're going to be kingdom entrepreneurs, then we got to understand every aspect of the kingdom. Like when to be on defense, when to be on offense, when when to possess lands, when to wait until the land is ready. Like that comes from discipleship, which I think discipleship is a lost art.
SPEAKER_01Amen.
SPEAKER_06It is a lost art. Yes, yes.
SPEAKER_02Oh, come on, preach, keep going. It's a lost art.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, Jesus did not say go make followers, he didn't say go make um um congregants, he didn't say build these massive. I never get caught up in growth. Yeah, just because you have thousands upon thousands of people, I audit your discipleship systems. I don't believe small groups, cool. All you're doing is regurgitating what the pastor says Sunday. No, is there a living life with these people? Yeah, it's there and I believe, yes, where's the fruit? Yeah, and the Bible talks about Jesus when he went to the fig tree, he saw leaves but no fruit. Leaves give the illusion that there's fruit, but when you inspect beyond the leaves and there's no fruit, you're just a well-dressed preacher, so you look good, you got Levi's on, you got all the name brand, you got all that stuff, but we you're not producing no fruit, and that's why entrepreneurship or kingdom entrepreneurship can be so lonely because God is building you to build effectively, and it's about discipleship. Can you create systems that keeps him lifted up? Because if I be lifted up, I'll draw all men. Yeah, that's why you'll see people who who are very clear about Jesus, very clear and strongly convicted about the relationship. Their businesses grow. Why? Because you're lifting him up, yeah, and he'll draw all men, and and and and discipleship is the one of the biggest reasons why, and a lot of churches are not equipped to disciple entrepreneurs. I would agree with that, yeah. They don't know what to do with us, they don't know what to do with us because they're threatened. See, when that's why I think seminary is dangerous, and and I'm here in my heart, I'm not saying all seminary, but any type of institution that has the opportunity to indoctrinate creates one-dimensional operate. Like you only operate one-dimensionally. So now when you are a pastor and and you don't understand that Jesus selected Jesus, not Jesus did not select not one pastor to be a disciple. Nope, not one Pharisee, not one Sadducee, not one. All of them were builders because Jesus was a builder, he was a carpenter. So now you create this system of seminary that creates Pharisees. And so when builders like Jesus, like us, come around, your threat, your system is threatened because we're looking at your system that you got from these satanic seminaries, not all of them, but some of them, and all of a sudden now you don't even know how to comprehend how to build the way God wants to build. And so that's why Jesus was Jesus was treated the same way. Because he was a builder, and his systems was against their patriarchal systems, and and and and that's what makes entrepreneurs a threat to the church at times, unfortunately.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and it was outside the box, right? Like that's how he operates is outside the box that we put him in.
SPEAKER_06Outside the box. That's so true.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So I mean, all of that's amazing, and I completely agree with you in terms of discipleship. Like it is just so lost. And I've gone around recently just asking people, I'm like, do you know what it says in Mark 16 at the end? You know, I've been asking people, and like they're like, what? And I'm like, it says that you will heal the sick, cast out demons, heal them from leprosy. Like all of these signs and wonders will follow you if you are follow like a true follower of Jesus. Yes, and leading people to Jesus, right? Like all of the things. And I just asked them, I said, so is that a part of your life? And they just went, Oh. I mean, come on, this is what we've got to build, right? Like, no matter who comes through the door, how are we living that out each and every day? And so, anyway, that's just that's just a personal heart of mine of like when people would come and do business with me at the company I used to run and everything, they would be like, Well, there's something different about you. And it'd be like, It's because I care and I want to help you see see you succeed and everything. And they're like, Most people aren't like that. And I'm like, That's right. But that's how God builds, you know, like that's how he does business, really, at the end of the day.
SPEAKER_06That's how he does business. Yeah, I love that you said that. Like, we need to understand how God does business. Jesus, when he was 12, said, I'm about yo, Mary, okay, okay, I'll go with y'all. Did y'all not know? Yeah, yeah. I'm about my father's business. Business, yeah. He didn't say my father's ministry. Cool. I'm not trying to get into the semantics of wording, but there's something powerful about the word business because there's there's um see now you don't got me inspired. I ain't gonna go down that right now, but back to what you're saying, yeah, and so it's just important that we understand that Jesus and the apostles did the bulk of their deliverance based on proximity.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_06Woman with the issue of blood, he was just minding his business, going about his day. The apostle, when they walked by in his shadows healed, they were just going about their day. Yeah, imagine if we had that level of power. I believe that when demons see us, there's uh there's uh an extent of, I don't know, people call it aura, there's an extent of a bubble that that's that's bright, protective. I think there's a color, I think there's a a density of the force field around us, because it wasn't that it was the apostle's shadow, that's the extent. Yeah, that was the extent that they was in enough proximity that a person that was within shadows' length, and the people probably want to record, we don't even know how far their their anointing, if you will, stretched. It was just the people say, Well, they were shadows, what there was a shadow away, so it had to have been their shadow. I believe that as proximity individuals, that there's coming a day that simply being in the marketplace, simply being where you're supposed to be, people can be healed, yokes can be destroyed, people crawling by night to find out exactly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yes, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I'm just saying that because I've been going through it at my work personally. There's some people at work, every time I walk in, their demons get really upset. Every time. Agitated, every time. And I'm like, I had to step back, and the other day I had to tell one of my bosses. I'm like, look, just FYI, I pick up on everything going on in the office, right? Spiritually. I'm not just picking up on what people are putting down, I'm picking up on what's what's going on with them. And I said, just FYI, these people don't like me. It has nothing to do with me, it has everything to do with Jesus, and they don't, they're the darkness they walk in doesn't like it.
SPEAKER_06And and that's why we, and that's why people like yourself and myself, that's why there's no coincidence that the Lord brought us together in this podcast because it happens all the time. And and a lot of entrepreneurs they'll get frustrated, they'll get the enemy will flip it on them now because they don't feel accepted anywhere, or they're agitating everywhere, then all of a sudden they'll go, they go nowhere.
SPEAKER_02Yes, it's like no. I feel it right now, myself personally. So I totally get what you're saying. Yeah, and that's the beautiful thing about God.
SPEAKER_06He'll he'll have you agitate, and he'll get you in this place where you'll say, you know what, forget them all. Like, like I don't need, I don't need family, I don't need friends, I got you. And then you go back. Like Moses got out.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_0640 some years in the wilderness. That's why us as entrepreneurs, like, man, why are we out here and no and our business ain't growing? Nothing, like, why? He's teaching us how to be abased. There are certain lessons you learn when you are abased. There are certain lessons you learn, like Joseph, when you're in pits, when you've been betrayed with Potiphar's wife, when you're in prisons. There are certain things that are learnt there. So when you stand before these pharaohs, yeah, and you stand before these people, Pharaoh didn't care about Joseph's God. Listen, God, I don't care how many demons I agitate at this level, I'm going to that devil because that devil holds that principality, holds the keys to this region.
SPEAKER_01Amen.
SPEAKER_06And only God's people can interpret nightmares. And so when you realize that you say, you know what, man, I don't care who I agitate. Like demon, that then you start walking wisely. And then I tell you all the time that you know the enemy wants you to fall into the bait. Not you, Heather, but just people like to wrestle against flesh and blood.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06The way I neutralize people in those spaces is demons hate love. Oh, do they ever? They hate, they hate gratitude, they hate love, they hate peace. If you want a demon to leave you alone, stay in those three frequencies.
SPEAKER_01Amen.
SPEAKER_06Love on them.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_06Be joyful around them.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_06Be at peace. Them demons will leave you alone because they they they can't stand that's.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I know, I know. I've been learning that lesson this last year. It's like, wow, it's a whole other level to walk in.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it's a whole other realm. And and that's a beautiful place. And I love being in ministry for 20 years and and just seeing the lore's modules and trainings. I'm like, wow, this is it is deeper than just the glitz and glam of business. This is this is this is a war. Like generational wealth is the enemy's enemy. Yeah, like not just generational wealth financially, generational wealth spiritually, mentally. Like, you don't want that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_06And so now you learn war, you learn how to operate in authority. You you you pray more often, you cover everything. Like before I preach, I always say this prayer. Oh, while I'm before I preach a message, before I talk to people, I always counsel every plot and scheme of retaliation against me. Because I'm going to war. Like you just think you're just gonna preach and they ain't gonna try to reach. You think you think you just preach the gospel and think they ain't gonna do nothing about it? Yeah, it just trains you to be a little bit more discerning. So you got me early in the morning, heaven. Uh so you got me fresh, fresh tired up, tired up. I feel bad for my clients the rest of the day. They're gonna get leftovers. I'm I'm I'm feasting right now.
SPEAKER_02I love it. I love it. So, speaking of that, how would you encourage someone? I've I've personally been on a long race. And how would like the dream is still in front of them, right? But we haven't seen it come to fruition. Or we haven't seen the promises come to fruition, right? Like we're still walking forward one step at a time and everything. How do you encourage people to keep going? Because I personally like I'm to the point in my life where I've like hit a brick wall, you know? Yeah, where it's like, okay, we've got this big dream in front of us, but yes, I truly don't know how you're gonna work it out, Lord, in the natural. Like, I'm it's beyond my capability. Like, how do you keep going?
SPEAKER_06Yes, there's two things that I'll give you for that. Like, the Bible says, though it tarries, wait for it. People, when it comes to dreams and visions and goals, the reason why God shows us what we could have and can have is because that keeps us at least going in that direction.
SPEAKER_02Sure.
SPEAKER_06Once you see what could what you could have, then you realize what you must do to have it. Then when you realize I'm not able to do to have it, then you end up becoming, I gotta focus on becoming the person that can do and have it. But then when you realize, in order for me to become that person, I gotta believe like that person, then you start examining your beliefs. In order for you to get to a level of belief that gets you to a level of being, it gets you to a level of doing, it gets you a level of having, you got to become more aware. And the Bible says, Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, knowing this that the testing of your faith produces patience, and when patience has had its perfect work, you will be complete, whole, lacking in nothing. The Bible is splattered with principles and pathways. So, the reason why most. Entrepreneurs or people get discouraged because the dream has been delayed, is because they're not good at spiritual math. Count for months. When the Lord had me exegete this text and sit with it, I sat with the word count for months. What do you mean, count? Is there a is there a mathematics that we didn't learn in school?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06So when you look at a situation, how you count a situation determines what you collect from that situation. So the issue is people are not aware enough of what they should be considering and what they should be counting. For example, why does God have us to wait? Why? Because what we're waiting for has a weight.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_06And some of us are not at the weight limit to handle the weight of it. So God is saying, I'm not just see the thing about the blessing is already made because everything in eternity is already done. Right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06So, but we're undone because we're in a process.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And so when you realize, tell I tell entrepreneurs all the time, I want you to write down a everything you want to have. I want you to dream. Let's dream big. Dream, dream, dream big. Now ask yourself if you put that on a scale, how much that weigh? How much does a marriage really weigh? How much does a six-figure month weigh against a heart that has not been transformed? Do you know if God would I believe in a kingdom salary cap?
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_06The Bible says there's a verse in the Bible that says, Lord, don't give me too much that I leave you. Don't give me, don't make me rich, don't make me so rich that I leave you. Don't make me too poor that I that I steal.
SPEAKER_01Sure.
SPEAKER_06There's an in-between. God knows what a million dollars would do to me. God will know, God knows what a what five million would do to me. God knows what 10 million would do to me right now. And so I used to ask God, why is my business not scaling? God was like, You're not scaling. So when you realize how much a dream weighs, then you either lose weight or gain weight to match it in weight so that you can hold it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06That's why I create this movement called the Holders. I just launched it last night. I'm creating a movement called the Holders. God wants us to be whole so that we can hold the ingredients in cement is so powerful that when they come together, it can hold 50 cars on a bridge. You said again.
SPEAKER_01I said, I didn't know that. I didn't know it could hold that kind of weight.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. It can hold that weight. I've like when you look at skyscrapers, there's something they built that with that can handle all the weight. So when we understand it, we'll say, okay, you know, God, I'm going to wait on you because I don't want a divorce. I don't want my children to not want to be around me. I don't want to have uh an embarrassing situation in public. So God create me to be a blessing to the blessing, to be a blessing to the dream. And and and that's what you have to understand. Think about Joseph.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Joseph had the palace dream when he was 17. But Joseph was immature.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06There were five discernments that Joseph had to go through and learn before he got to the palace. The first discernment was the dream discernment. Not everybody needs to hear your dream. Because Joseph did not have the maturity to say, you know what, that might be offensive to them. Is there anything in my heart that's a brat? Like, if my brothers was to come to me and tell me that I was gonna bow down to them, how would I feel? That's something that you gotta interpret. Like, can they really hold this dream? Will this create jealousy in them? Will this create envy in them? So I might not share it with them, no matter how excited I am. That was the first lesson he learned in discerning who he should tell his dream to. The pit taught him a second discernment. It taught him relational discernment. Just because they're your brothers don't mean they won't put you in this pit.
SPEAKER_01Oh, wow. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06So now all relationships are important. So now you're discerning not only when you should tell your dream, but you're not discernment, you're now learning that, yo, I can't just be in relationship with anyone. The third discernment that Joseph learned, that all of us have to learn, is the temptation discernment. Joseph was so focused on his work that he didn't see the witch work working around him. Joseph, how did you not interpret that all the soldiers are gone, all the servants are gone, and you're alone in this house? Don't let your good be spoken evil of.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06So somewhere online, he didn't have the discernment to realize that she you tempted her, or she wants you. You should know, you should have enough wisdom to say, you know what, if I'm the only man with this man's woman, you know what I'm going to. Maybe the path to the palace did not include the prison. But because he failed that test, he had to go to the prison.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06The fourth discernment he had to learn was timing. You just interpret this cutbearer and baker's dream, and they forgot about you, Joseph. Well, tell Pharaoh that you know, if he needs some dream interpretation, I'm the man.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06But years went by. Timing. Can you sit in a prison and still serve it at the highest level? Even if you've done good to high, even if you've done good to people that can get you out of this prison. The last discernment that he learned was leadership discernment. He, as he was interpreting Pharaoh's dream, he understood, I can lead that. Many people only unlock one gift. The pit, the potiphar's house, and the prison unlocked the leadership gift. Because if Joseph would have just interpreted a dream, he would win, he would have gone right back to prison. But he said, you know what, Joseph? Yo, first off, he gave glory to God. All interpretation comes from God. If you want that level of impact on an entrepreneur, you have to get to that level where you are bold to say, hey, I hear you, but all interpretation comes from the Lord. And Joseph interpreted that man's dream, gave him the plan, the blueprint, the system, and that man well, he went from a hundred thousandth person in the nation to number two in the nation.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Overnight. And so to answer your dream, dreams have a weight. You have to match it in weight. And number two, you got to have certain discernments so that when the dream unfolds, you know how to rightly divide and know how to process things.
SPEAKER_02That is so good. So if you could tell someone to pursue redemption and chase after Jesus, what would you tell them?
SPEAKER_06I would tell them that's the greatest place to go. Um how you see how you see him would determine how you seek him. And maybe some of the listeners right now are in doubt. And you can almost imagine the frustrating of Thomas. I thought he was who he said he was. I thought he was what you said he was. This ain't a wound no more, Thomas. It's a scar now. I I was tempted at every point, but did not sin. I took on your sins, Thomas, on the cross. If you want redemption, look at the place where he took your place. Then you will see a man that's been through everything you ever thought, who's carried weights you never got. He said, Have you suffered until blood?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_06I have for you. So when you see him as king, great, when you see him as Lord, great, but sometimes you gotta see his wounds, his scars, and say, you know what, that was for me. And and and people think the gospel is for the non-believer. I think the gospel is ten times more for the believer to remind us of who we are and whose we are. So that's my message to people who need redemption. Sometimes you gotta go and maybe look at the passion of Christ again. I don't know. Maybe you gotta watch and really see what it what he went through so that you didn't for you to get through. And so that was that's my words for them.
SPEAKER_02Well, would you mind praying us out this morning?
SPEAKER_06Yes, let's pray. Father, thank you so much for this opportunity to where two or three are gathered, you are there in the midst and Lord. We just welcome you. We man, you said some things in this that I'm gonna go chew on later. Thank you so much for being who you are, and Father God, we thank you so much for every listener's listening to us. With the authority that's been given unto me, I come against every type of demonic witchcraft or any type of generational hose is gonna try to sniff this word out of their soul. This soul, this seed that's planted in them like Mary will never leave them. And so even though they're tempted to be busy like Martha, we believe that this moment, as they sat at the feet of Jesus, hearing him speak through these earthen vessels, that they will have that word sealed in their souls where they'll be able to behold the Lamb and be able to hold whatever it is they were supposed to hold. Turning my attention back to you, Father, thank you once again. Lord, we pray for Heather. Thank you so much, Lord, for the for the mission and the vision and the purpose you have given to her. Lord, we just thank you that there will be a manifold blessing and return on her service. Let her not grow weary and well-doing, for in due season she will reap if she faint not. I'm not saying that's what she's going through, Lord. I'm just praying that blessing over her. And we just thank you so much. We come against any type of retaliation that may come after or try to come after us uh for this beautiful, powerful podcast. We protect our families, we protect ourselves, we protect our properties. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. And we just thank you, Lord, for that authority we can exercise in this realm and we give it, give you all the glory for it. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
SPEAKER_02Amen. Well, thank you so much for coming on.
SPEAKER_06You're welcome. Anytime you need me, Heather, you know where I'm at. I I will listen. I don't mind, I don't mind talking.
