SPEAKER_00Welcome home, where healing and restoration are celebrated in stories from those who have walked through fire and come out the other side. Welcome to the Pursuing Redemption Podcast with Heather Shore.
SPEAKER_06Well, Faith, thank you so much for coming on the Pursuing Redemption Podcast. We're excited to have you today. Welcome to the show.
SPEAKER_02Thank you for having me.
SPEAKER_06We're very excited to hear about your testimony about you coming to faith in Jesus.
SPEAKER_02Amen. Jesus is so amazing. And uh the things that he could do in our lives, we can't even in our human finite minds, we really can't. We could try to understand or imagine, but even what we can imagine or even understand, God has so much more than we could ever think of in our minds.
SPEAKER_06Absolutely. So tell us a little bit about your testimony.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so my name is Faith Sherry, and um I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Lord called me here two years ago from New Orleans, Louisiana. Um, I grew up, my I grew up in church, but then my dad and my mom kind of like separated, and um so I kind of came from like a broken home, but also in church as well. So it kind of was a little confusing uh growing up as a teenager. Um I lived with my dad partly and I lived with my mom partly. So I had church with my dad, and then I didn't have church with my mom, so I was kind of like living in two worlds. Um at the age of 15, um, I was, you know, up until 12 to 15, I was part of my dad's ministry. I sang for the Lord, I traveled with my dad, I did my schooling in the car, all that great stuff. But about a year and a half later, I walked away from the Lord. I was um found myself in some uh challenging times in my life, and I walked away from the Lord, I walked away from ministry, and I was just mad at everything, mad at God, mad at the world, just a mad teenager, you know. And um I tried different things. I tried, you know, to find love in all the wrong places, you know. I um I tried worldly things, you know, like messing around with like weed and you know, different drugs and then find trying to find love in men and and all of this. And when I was 19 years old, and I was pregnant for my oldest son, I remember looking at my mom and I said, Mom, one day I'm gonna find me a man that is true love, that he's gonna even recognize the freckle on my finger. And my mom chuckled, and she was like, Okay, Faith, you know, and she chuckled and laughed it off, but I was serious, you know. And so, like three kids later, I'm still looking for true love, right? And all the while it was Jesus, you know, Jesus, the true love. I had to go through a lot of different things in my life that led me to come to the end of myself. Okay. At the age of 46 in 2017, after running from the police, being in an addiction, and this and that for five and a half years, but before that, being a successful business owner, uh wonderful mom, you know, that you know, I did my best, but you know, we can only do so much when we're not walking with God.
SPEAKER_04Sure.
SPEAKER_02So I did my best in that. Um, but the thing is, is that I didn't have Jesus, and I was running from the calling that God had in my life, so God had to sit me down. So after running from the police, and I chuckled because it's like, wow, I can't even believe I did a lot of the stuff that I did, uh, high speed chase, and I can go on. But, anyways, um God sat me down in jail after numerous times of being in jail and then coming out and this and that. But this time I wasn't getting out. You know, I was running from the police. This is my third time convicted felon, um, you know, felony uh over drugs. I was mad and I didn't understand, but that was the love of Jesus that was chasing me down. Okay. And I will go into my time in prison. The night before I went, I was heading to prison. I was in um in the county jail. The chaplain there, she actually went to Bible school, Bible college with my dad. And she gave me my Bible that I have right here. Okay. This Bible right here. Has a lot of tears and a lot of breakthrough and all that good stuff in it, you know. And when I touched Ground and Tolula, I was detoxing still, and this and that. It took me about two and a half months to kind of like be right to where I could walk, and this and that, you know, because detoxing off of heroin and cocaine and anything, you know, that I can fit, you know, in a needle. Um, and I kind of rushed into it because there's so much more in that, because you know, we don't like wake up one day and say, hey, I want to be a heroin addict, you know, it's things over life and over time that the enemy comes and like he throws darts and things, you know, at us, and we just kind of get weary and we're not walking with God. So we kind of like have all these things that we just kind of a slave to and just fall into. But uh when I touched ground on Tulula, I stared at that Bible in my cell for about two weeks, didn't open it. Just looked at it, and then one day I opened it and it just like became alive to me, you know, and I couldn't put it down. And I'm like, wow, you know, the Bible's interesting. Wow, this happened, you know, and like all these different things. And I'm like, and one by one, you know, the Lord is like healing me and speaking to me. And I thought it was gonna be the worst thing in my life, you know, going to prison and doing time, and I knew I was backing up four years in prison because of the three felonies that I got over drugs. And um, but I started to apply myself, you know, and I I enrolled for high set GED, I enrolled uh for celebrate recovery. I said, you know what? I can't keep running, you know, I can't keep running because I've been running all my life, and so I applied myself. I started doing all these classes and stuff while you're in prison. While I'm in prison.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_02Wow. And so we had in prison, we had church. I mean, we had church, we had the best church. You wouldn't think that in prison, but we had amazing services. I'm still friends with my chaplain today, you know, that was working over there. Yeah, I mean, we had amazing service, and that's where I gave my life to God. That's when I gave my life to Jesus and I surrendered. That's where God became my God in prison and I stopped running. You know, that's where it all happened. That's where I came to the end of myself, at the end of my life, where I laid it down, not realizing at the time that I'm really finding it, you know, and I'm finally, I'm finally and truly living, searching all my life for something, the void, for something that all it was, it was Jesus the whole time. And I didn't realize it at the time. And all these years, of course, I heard from God, uh, He would I heard him beckoning me, calling me, and but I was running. I was like, God, you know, I'm young, I want to do my thing. Uh, you know, I so I tried this, I tried that. And all these years of running, I finally surrendered. And the whole time it was God's love for my life, and God has no respect of persons. What he does for me and what he does for you, Heather, and and everyone that that come to faith in Jesus, he would do for anybody. You know, he would do for anyone. His love is so grand that we're literally going to spend eternity in heaven getting to know Jesus because he's eternal, you know? And uh so yeah, praise the Lord. Uh yeah, it's just his love, you know, it's his love and not realizing what was ahead, but he knew what was ahead. He knew what what was ahead, you know. He knew that I was going to face all these health challenges in the in the in the future. You know, it was his love saving me, not just from addiction. That is just a crumb. Not just from myself, that was just a crumb, not just from everything, that was just a crumb. He knew what was ahead, and he knew even by looking at me and the mess that I was in, he called me his masterpiece. He knew how I was going to be today, right now, talking to y'all, you know, and talking to the audience. He knew the woman that I was going to become and who I'm still gonna become.
SPEAKER_06That's right. That's amazing, faith. Well, you touched on it a tiny bit, but God has healed you from some crazy things. So I am wondering if you would love to share that.
SPEAKER_02I would love to, yeah, because Jesus is amazing. So after like surrendering and you know, and in and it's being sanctified, you know, so it's not like putting popcorn in a microwave and boom, it's done in three minutes. This is our life. This is things that you know that we've gone through and we've got a lot of stuff that we need to be healed from and and sanctified and this and that. So I gave my life to the Lord in 2017, 2018, but I still was smoking cigarettes, you know, so God had to take that away from me. That was a more stronghold on my mind than it was, it was harder for me to quit smoking cigarettes than it was to heroin, to be honest with you. So in 2020, the yes, 2020, the Lord, it broke off of my life in 2020 cigarettes, okay. So I haven't smoked a cigarette since that, since 2020, praise the Lord. So I said all it to say that in 2021, October, okay, the Lord called me. He says, uh, go to Marisong. And I'm like, go to Marisong, and Marisong was a uh restoration center, like a faith-based rest uh rehab center at my church back home. And I'm like, go to Marisong? Well, Lord, what are people gonna think? You know, I'm like, I'm in ministry, I'm a flag minister, I'm doing this. What are people gonna think? It was more of um it was pride, but also it was, well, God, you know, in my heart, I'm like, I don't want people to think that I've relapsed because I have it. I don't even smoke cigarettes no more. You know, I've been clean from cigarettes 15 months at the time. He's like, go to uh restaurant, uh Marisong. I said, Okay, Lord. So in two weeks, I I had to quit my job that I was making sixteen hundred dollars a week cleaning for a contractor, cleaning, I had my cleaning service. And then I had to find it was all these things that I had to do in order to go to marisong, but it was dying to self. I had to die to self. I found, you know, like I gave up my jobs, you know, I did this in obedience to the Lord. And I go there, hand my phone over. I'm in this program, and I'm like, okay, I'm gonna do this six months, God, and I'm out of here, you know what I mean? And um, you know, we always make plans, but the Lord determines how it goes, right? So I'm in there and it's like this Holy Ghost bubble, no phone, just straight Jesus. We go to church, we clean the sanctuary, we're doing all these things. I'm in there and I had a regular doctor's appointment with five other girls. There's this protocol, we go and get lab work done and go do an overall. Well, I go there and um for lab work, never met this doctor before in my life. And I left there getting heart tests done. He's like, so he says, Okay, well, you're done with the lab, you know, you can go ahead and go, but then I'm fixing to leave, and he comes back in. He's like, you know what? I'm not gonna overlook your headaches. This is totally Holy Spirit led, by the way. He says, I'm not gonna overlook your headaches. He says, I'm gonna order some heart tests done, if you don't mind. And we're gonna just make sure that, you know, everything's fine because my blood pressure was a little high and I was getting dizzy as well as I was home. And it's not, but mind you, I'm just getting lab work done there. So this lady walks me around the building, she does uh all these heart tests on me, like to the T. Two days later, I get a phone call that I need heart surgery. And I'm like, whoa, what do you mean? So then I had to find like um my own cardiologist, have him do his own tests and stuff like that. And then it's like, yeah, you need heart surgery, you know, and I'm like, okay. And I chose to have the open heart surgery. Okay, so my life is like totally changing. I'm like, whoa, what is going on? Right, and I had three months later, I had my chest cracked open for emergency open heart surgery. Now they wanted to do it right away, but you know, with the insurance formalities and this and it, it took three months. So three months later, after finding out that I need this, I'm going through this. One year after that, okay, I found out that uh, so one year after that I had um was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer, okay, where I was told that I had about 18 months to live statistically. Now let me break this down a little bit. Sure. So here I am, surrendered, gave my life to God in prison. Okay, that's where God became my God, started preaching in prison, became the woman that becoming the woman that God has ordained me to be before the foundations of the earth, right? Then I get out, I'm walking with the Lord, I'm being sanctified, I'm just going, taking baby steps in the right direction, you know, and I just keep going. Then God says, go to Mary's home. And I'm like, Lord, what are people gonna think? They're gonna think I relapsed, isn't it? If I wasn't obedient to God, I wouldn't be here today. My mama passed away at 39 years old in my arms at the house from congestive heart failure. My dad passed away from cancer, okay, six years later. The very two things that came at me took my parents out. My parents passed away from. Okay. Now, God is so amazing that I said, God, you know, I had to ask him real questions, you know, like, Lord. When the doctor told me, you know, I'm my daughter's standing, sitting across from me, and I'm sitting here, and the doctor says, Well, you know, statistically, you have about 18 months to live. My daughter starts crying. I go home, I reassure her and all that, you know, I'm going into prayer. I go home and I had to ask God some real life questions. Are you calling me home? Do my family, my children have to prepare my start preparing my funeral? You know, what do I need to do, God, if you're calling me home? Okay. And that's when God says that that's not gonna be my story for his glory. That what happened to my parents is not gonna happen to me. Because I'm gonna be telling people about him, about the things that he has pulled me out of, you know, and the different things that he has done for my life, you know, and that I'm a bloodline breaker. And that I know he's so amazing that I'm a bloodline breaker, you know, and I I actually I guess my phone, you know, heard me say bloodline breaker because then there was like this something something on my phone that that showed that, right? So I ordered the sweatshirt. Just felt compelled to do it. I know we can laugh these things out, you know, because God is so amazing. But uh, I ordered the sweatshirt, it comes in, and instead of putting it on, I hung it on a coat hanger in my living room wall. And I'm going through these things, you know, I'm going through chemo. I went through seven weeks of straight chemo and 30 radiation treatments and one year of immunotherapy. Wow. Um, so I'm remembering what God told me, but here I have chunks of hair falling out on my hair, you know, like I'll take a shower and I could have made a wig, you know, out of the hair that's falling out, and this and I, you know, and every time that I felt weak, I looked at that and I hung it on the wall as a prophetic reminder. No, it doesn't matter what I see, it doesn't matter what I feel. I know what my father said about me. I know what he said. He said that I'm a bloodline breaker, he said that I shall live and not die to proclaim the goodness of God, to say what he has done for me, like I'm doing right now. But here I am weak. Here I am weak and feeling sick and this and that. But I'm gonna tell you one thing, and it's probably gonna blow some people's minds. If you had not even known by looking at me that I had no hair and stuff, you wouldn't even know that I had cancer. Because God had kept me in joy the whole time. I had the Lord showed me like a parallel line. I had two lines that were flowing together like this. I had my affliction and I was being my blessings. I had blessings because God kept me in perfect peace. Yes, I had my moments. Yes, I had my moments where I cried and I fell down to my knees, broken as God. What you know, what is it? Why, you know, in all these different things, you know. But then he always showed up, he always reminded me, he always let me feel his presence all around me and in me and hugging me. Yeah. So there's more. There he's healed me from so many different things, you know. Um, even from hepatitis, I don't even have that anymore. You know, I had B and C, I had hepatitis B and C.
SPEAKER_06B and C?
SPEAKER_02Yes, I was a heroin addict addict, you know. I had hepatitis B and C, and I've been to three specialists over the years, and it shows where I had it, but it shows that I don't, it's I don't have it anymore, that it's not active. And I'm gonna tell you, though, I was sitting in the audience in church one day, some years back, and the man says, somebody's getting healed from hepatitis right now, where whether I and I knew it was me. I knew it was me. You know, I didn't go up and say, hey, it's me or anything like that. It was between me and my father. I knew it was me. And I'm here today, all these years later in 2025, still free from it.
SPEAKER_06You know, yeah, Jesus. Yeah, you're the second person on this season that's been healed of that, healed of Pepsi.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Jesus still heals today, he's the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. You know, he's the Alpha and the Omega. Either we believe the whole Bible or we don't because he did it then and he's gonna do it now. He still heals today.
unknownThat's wild.
SPEAKER_06I love it. It's it's just so cool. Well, bring us up to present day. We we met at Rave Jesus, so yeah, yeah, and I could just tell that you were on fire for God and everything. So, what ministry things does the Lord have you up to right now? So you've gotten through cancer and everything, then you came to Tulsa in the last couple of years.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and that that was the wild part too. Is um so not only did I have, you know, out of obedience, going from you know, my house to Mary Song. Oh, and by the way, I stayed there 16 months. I said I was gonna stay there six months. I was in Mary Song 16 months, love. It matters of fact, I didn't, I kind of cried. I was like, I don't want to leave, but yeah, you know, so because it's just we're family there, it's beautiful. But moving to Tulsa, I still was a cancer patient, a heart patient, and a diabetic patient because the Lord, um, I mean, you know, when I had got when I was going through the chemo and stuff it, I was already borderline and just the medicine made me like a diabetic. Well, anyways, moving on. So the Lord says, go to Oklahoma. And I'm like, Oklahoma, you know, and I'm in my own place, you know, living on campus. I was in Bethesda Bible College back home, and I'm like, okay, Oklahoma. So I started looking at an Oklahoma City because I was feeling the wooing of the Lord, you know, to move, you know, to Oklahoma. And I'm like, okay, so I'm looking at Oklahoma City and I can't get a human being on the phone. I was I was like, God, did I hear you wrong? You know, you don't want me to, you know, what is this? Is this the chemo or you know, what is it, Lord? You know, I want to make sure it's you and not me, right? So I'm like, look, I can't get a human being on the phone. And I'm like looking and and everything. And I said, Lord, I say, you know what? I need to make sure it's you. I want to make sure that this is what you want and not something that I, you know, like fathomed in my mind or something like that, or it's from the enemy, like, or like a give up spirit because of what I was going through, you know. So we all we have to test the spirit. The Bible says to do that. So here I am asking God to to verify in me, to confirm in me that this is what he wants. And that if this is what he wants, he has to shut doors, or I'm not moving, because I love my church back home. I still love my church back home and my family back home in the Senate at church, you know. And I was like, okay, this has to be you, or I'm not moving, because this is wild. This is crazy. And the natural is like, Lord, you know, I'm so going through treatment. I got all these doctors, you know, I get my heart and heart checked every week because I'm on blood thinners, because of the mechanical evaluation of heart. I'm like, okay, if I'm not moving unless you tell me, you shut doors. Okay, so the very next day, the very next day, Pastor Joy wants to meet with me, right? And she's also my landlord back home where I was living at, you know, on campus. And I'm thinking she just wants to mentor me because that's what she does once a month, you know, for you know, being on campus and stuff, and it's just a great thing. I love it. We're talking, she was like, How you doing? This and that, you know, you gotta know Passage Joy, her little soft-spoken uh voice and sweetheart. And uh, I'm like, I'm fine. And she was like, you know, so we're talking for a moment, she's like, uh, we need you to move. I'm like, what do you mean you need me to move? She says, Well, we need your apartment. She says, uh, for two of the school of the prophets students. And I'm like, well, what do you mean, Pastor Joy? I'm supposed to be in that school, school of the prophets. You know, I don't went to the meetings with Pastor Frank and so on, right? And she was like, Yeah, but Pastor Frank is feeling led to do it at this moment, 30 years and younger. And I'm like, I'm like, whoa. It literally, like, I'm gonna be honest. In the natural, it was like it felt like a blow to the stomach. You know what I mean? I'm like, whoa, I have to move again. This would be my third time moving because when I moved from Marysong to Bethesda community where I lived on campus, a couple months later, after moving into that apartment, they wanted me to move across the street to the other apartment because they needed the one I had for a handicap accessible for somebody else. So that would have been the third time moving. I'm like, wow. And immediately I heard the Holy Spirit tell me right here, you asked me to close doors.
SPEAKER_01And I was like, whoa.
SPEAKER_02And my spirit started dancing. I'm like, well, Pastor Joy, God has called me to Oklahoma, you know, and it was beautiful. Like, literally, I bought all my pastor's flowers. I'm like, God, why am I crying? I'm supposed to be happy to do your will. I'm gonna miss everybody, blah, blah, blah. You know, and he and I'm like, I should be not crying. I am happy, but as I'm packing, I'm crying, I'm like dying to self, you know, I'm like being sacrificed, you know. And God says it wouldn't be a sacrifice if you didn't feel nothing, you know? And here I am in Tulsa two years later. This month, actually, maybe two years. Oh, by the way, I moved in three weeks. So after God closed the doors, I was here three weeks later. Yes. It was, and oh, and I cannot forget to tell this. So as soon as I said yes and started moving, not even having a place to live yet, because I couldn't get a human being on the phone in Oklahoma City. The moment that I had two witnesses tell me, well, why don't you check Tulsa? The very first place that I called, I got a human being on the phone in Tulsa.
SPEAKER_06See, no, just nicer.
SPEAKER_02It gets better. It gets better, Heather. Okay, here we go. You ready? Then somebody sews $10,000 into my life. I'm not joking, I got the pictures approved of it. Like, literally, like as soon as I move, I move, I was moving in faith, I'm taking pictures down, bubble wrapping, I'm doing, I still don't have a place to live at this time. I get a check in the mail for $10,000. This person had no idea what God called me to do at the time. She does now, but at the time, but God laid her on my heart. I didn't even have no, I was demoted from my job from manager to assistant manager because I was sick. I couldn't function and work. I worked the whole time in treatment until I moved to Oklahoma. Yes, and then I had, you know, disability got approved innocent at the time. But I kid you not, somebody sewed $10,000 into my life. You know, got Jesus paid the whole thing. There's blessings in obedience, you know. So I moved in three weeks. I'm here in Tulsa, praise the Lord. And I'm just like, I'm writing, I've been writing a devotional. I'm like finalizing everything right now. So I have the women's devotional that's going to be coming out soon. Also, I've been writing another book the Lord called me to write, you know. So I've got two books that I've been writing in right now. So I'm writing, and then January, January 30th of 24, I rang the bell cancer free. Pushing a walker. So I rang the bell cancer-free, pushing a walker, January 30th. January 12th, I had a colonoscopy done. January 16th of that year was my birthday. January 30th, I rang the bell. Uh January 19th, I had uh knee surgery. January 30th, I rang the bell cancer-free, pushing a walker. As I'm pushing, as I'm pushing a walker and this and that, the Lord is telling me victory. He keeps reminding me about victory. A few months later, after that, in May, so that was January, in May, the Lord said, go to Victory College. I sort of feel in the wooing to go to Victory College. So I'm in my I'm going into my second year, Victory College, as I'm in ministry. So yeah, the Lord, uh, he's he's full of all the goodies, you know, all the goodness and this and that. So uh been on mission trip, flag minister. Um, I'm a pre-K Sunday school teacher, usher, altar minister, uh street evangelist, and uh flag minister. So let me tell you something. There's nothing that God can't do with our yes, you know, our surrendered life and yes to him. Because in 2017, I was in prison. 2025, I'm in my second year at Victory College in ministry, still walking with the Lord.
SPEAKER_06God is amazing. Wow.
SPEAKER_02Jesus is amazing.
SPEAKER_06Jesus is amazing. It's He's amazing. It is so cool how he connects people.
SPEAKER_02He makes all things new.
SPEAKER_06He does make all things new. I've been meditating on that verse all week.
SPEAKER_02Man, he makes all things new, even your organs. He's given me new lungs, he's given me a new heart, a new life. I mean, he just makes all things new.
SPEAKER_06Well, speaking of that, obviously you have some hopes and dreams for the future. And so what are those? Because you have new, you have new organ, you have a new body.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's healed me and he said, you know, if you don't faith, I've healed your body. Now it's time to pivot, and it's time to run. So as soon as I rang that bell, in the natural, I'm pushing a walker, but I've been running in the spirit. You know, I've been running and now I'm running in the natural. Like as soon as I hit ground, okay, here in Tulsa, I've been running. But when I say running, I mean like doing the work of the Lord, you know, and like different things. But there's been different, you know, I've had we all go through things and we all have different seasons and stuff, but it's constantly, no matter what we go through, and it's a constant surrender to God, whatever it is, and knowing that no matter what comes in front of us, that our Heavenly Father loves us, you know, and that we're going to be fine. So yeah.
SPEAKER_06That's amazing. So, do you have a prophetic word for the people that are listening?
SPEAKER_02You know, my prophetic word of encouragement that I wrote down earlier that I felt led that the Lord um wanted me to say was uh about how, you know, um God has been healing the hurt, you know, in my heart. And like I said earlier, who's no respecter of persons, you know. I know that there's gonna be some people that are gonna listen. And um I want them to know that God sees you and that he hears your heart, even if you don't say anything out your mouth. He hears your heart, and he wants to heal your heart from anything that um you may have suffered through loss or trauma, you know, pain or abandonment, and that uh that you can face it with Jesus, you're never alone. You know, we may feel like we're alone, you know, when we're you know going through dark times in the synapse, but Jesus is always having his hand out, beckoning, you know, us to come to him. And when I was running in addiction, and even before addiction, and I was a successful business owner and you know that I still, you know, had a void in me that I would mask it with, you know, alter it with weight or, you know, drinking or what have you, you know, or going out, or always had to have somebody there because I couldn't be by myself because then I would think. I just want to encourage the ones that are listening today that there's nothing that Jesus can't do, okay, with your surrender to him. You know, when Jesus walked in the day when I was on a third ward in New Orleans, when he walked in my room, I remember it like it was yesterday as today when he walked in there and I heard him call me. You know, I was an addiction. I I never was sober at the time. And I cried and I said, I feel like it's too too late for me. I've been to I've gone too far. I've tried to quit addiction. I've tried to quit, but I get sick, I can't quit. That's when I heard the Lord say, and I want to tell everybody that's listening that's going through this. I heard God say that I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me. Now, I must have read it somewhere years ago, but at the time, I really didn't know it was in the Bible. I assumed it probably was, but I couldn't remember, you know, that it was in the Bible or where it was or that it was even scripture. I just knew what I heard God say to me. And then I heard him say that I am I am the one that created the heavens and the earth and everything in it, including you. Don't ever think that I can't take this little addiction away from you. And I started just like, you know, wooing, and I I would like to say that I I quit right away. I tried. And I get really sick and I tried and I tried. And you see, God hears our heart, like I said earlier. He hears our heart, he hears our cry. Even if we don't cry out, he hears it. Two weeks later, that's when I was arrested. I was running from the police at the time for nine and a half months. But that's when God loved me so much that not only did he arrest me in the natural, but he arrested me in the his presence, his love, his goodness. He had to sit me down to save my soul. You know, he had to sit me down to save my soul. And then 2 Corinthians chapter 7, verse 8 through 12, is where Paul was writing to the Corinthians in the Corinthian church, the Corinthians. In this part that he says, For though I made you sorry, I do not repent. For I was a godly sorrow, and I led you to your repentance. And I'm paraphrasing for a second time, but it was that scripture, and they can look it up. It was in 2 Corinthians chapter 7, verse 8 through 12, and the earlier one was Philippians 4.13. But that's where God had to sit me down to save my life and to save my soul because I was about to bust hell's gates wide open with my presence. So many times I OD'd. And one time I was in trauma, you know, OD and I couldn't keep my eyes open. But I'm here today to tell everyone you're not too far gone. God still heals today, and he loves you, and what he did for me, he'll do for you. Because I'm living proof, not only from addiction, but he's only from terminal cancer where I I was told I had 18 months to live. I'm cancer free, I'm hepatitis free. I've got no new heart. Literally in the natural and in the in the emotional. Yes, I'm still healing today. I'm gonna be healing until I go to heaven, you know? But I'm here to say, to say, to stop running. We've been running all our lives, you know. Stop running away from God and run into your heavenly father's arms because they're always open to receive you. And he loves you very much.
